Story about paradise
The Creator intended to shape part of the Earth according to the image of Paradise. This is how Istria was created, like a garden overgrown with beautiful trees and spacious meadows, which mourns the blue sea and invites people to a happy life.
But the jealous devil destroyed his work by cutting open the bag in which the angel was carrying the remains of unused stones, and thousands of rocks spilled over the Istrian land, a land of contrasts, at the same time tame and harsh, fertile and stingy, sunny and cloudy.
The saddened angels gathered the pieces of Paradise left among the scattered stones and protected them with the waves of the sea. That's how Brijuni was born.
